Flyaway indoor skydiving and indoor skydiving in general is more prevelant since the early 80’s due to its popularity. Due to the popularity of indoor skydiving more and more cities around the country are starting to build indoor wind tunnels. Las Vegas indoor skydiving is a sport that is not only enjoyed by everyday vacationers but also by the famous who want to have some form of escape. Because indoor skydiving is less expensive than traditional skydiving it has become more popular and it is also a safer way to experience the thrill of skydiving.  

Training

When going to an indoor skydiving tunnel in Las Vegas for the first time, individuals will have to participate in  skydiving lessons so that they are aware of the basic safety information and flying techniques so that they can get started without becoming injured.   Many of the best indoor skydiving tunnels in Las Vegas will offer these classes on a repeating basis throughout the day so that individuals can come at any time and get into a class within the half hour of their arrival. You will be able to take your first flight after the class is completed. Individuals will be able to take the plunge and practice once they have the basic techniques down.

If you have an interest in traditional skydiving from an airplane then a good starting point would be Las Vegas indoor skydiving. Since the velocity of the wind tunnel air is normally around 120 miles/hr a person can indulge in free falling techniques to prepare for an airplane jump.   There are expert skydivers that will also use the indoor skydiving wind tunnels in Las Vegas so that they can gain more air time without the cost of going up in the plane to do so.

In order to participate in indoor skydiving in Las Vegas, individuals should wear comfortable clothing and have to be at least forty pounds. For saftey reasons children will need to be accommpanied by their parents in order to participate. If there rules and safety procedures are complied with then any ages can participate in indoor skydiving since there is such a low rate of injury. The height to weight ratio will set the criteria used to qualify an individual to take the indoor skydiving flight. If you are a man you cannot weigh more than 180lbs if your are under 5′ 6″. For a women the weight limitation is 160lbs and the height is 5′ 6″.
