In 1969, Adidas decided to launch a low-top version of their leading selling Pro Model shoe. Since then, these shoes have taken on a life of their own and was quickly adopted by both those involved in sport, particularly basketball, and music culture. Over the years, there have been several adaptations in the original, all with exactly the same wonderful attributes in the original. Adidas Superstar have the trademark rubber shell toe piece, also donning the traditional Adidas stripes about the side, and a thin leather tongue. Adidas was the first shoe firm to bring this type of low leading style to the basketball courts.

Kids who grew up during the decades of the '50s, '60s, and even '70s may remember bouncing on totally unprotected trampolines. Perhaps, the physical education teacher would probably put a mat underneath and then station several kids around the sides of the apparatus, but it really would have been a very simple matter for anyone to over-jump their particular abilities and go soaring above the heads of the spotters. buying a trampoline was a must for a generation of baby boomers and their youngsters.
