Just like non-powered bikes, ebikes come in a wide array of shapes, sizes and styles. Among street bikes and trail bikes, with several different types of frames meant to extend the range you can go, Nothing is quite as comfortable or useful as an electric cruiser bike. Cruiser frames are sometimes also referred to as European style bikes as they are very popular in the streets of many countries in Europe as a primary mode of transportation. These bikes are tough and rugged and even heavy weight folks can use them with ease. You can sit at a comfortable angle, just like when operating an automobile.

These csuier ebikes ae made bv many manufacturers in the USA and overseas. Each brand is unique with it’s features. Having said that, a majority of electric cruier bikes will go up to 15 miles per hour at a flat out power use. But you’ll surely be able to get to the shopping center and back. Most current batteries will get you up to about twenty five miles per charge, and some ebikes have the ability to carry multiple batteries so you can swap them out mid-trip and extend your range before charging them up. These high capacity batteries usually charge in four to six hours, and can be charged either with the use of a special battery charger or by plugging your bike directly into the power outlet in your wall.

These electric cruiser bikes can be run in a couple different modes. You have a full power mode for times when you don’t want to pedal at all. This is easy on the legs but rather harder on the battery. If you want to get a little exercise and extend the life of your battery, there is also the pedal assist mode, which gives you an extra boost as you pedal, effectively making you a more powerful biker. Lots of ebikes come with the option to pedal or use the power assist.

Cruiser style b ikes (and beach cruisers) come completely assembled in most cases. You won’t have to struggle to put together an ebike with a conversion kit when you choose a ready-made ebike. They are easy to operate and maintain, and do not require any sort of special license to drive them. They also provide a very smooth, comfortable ride. All in all, if you are considering an ebike as your in town errand running, grocery getting, leisurely commuter, a cruiser style frame is a good way to go.
