As a matter of fact, if you do lake fishing, the smaller the better. You will create less noise and have a smaller profile in the water, which gives you a lower chance of tipping the fish off and alerting them to your presence. Small used fishing boats for sale with outboard motors will do fine for most purposes.

Nevertheless, at first all I did was look at the big, impressive fishing schooners. I would go to the local boat show and look at all of the fishing boats for sale, dreaming of getting an ocean worthy craft and taking it all over the world, living off the bounty of the seven seas. I know it was a pretty childish fantasy, but I couldn’t help it. There is something about those boats, half vehicle and have home, that got my blood pumping. Having one of them would mean that I could make my home on the waves anywhere I wanted to go – a luxury afforded to a few people.
