CFS

Gradient

Gradient is another important term used in rafting and it refers to the vertical nature of the rapid. It follows that a high gradient implies a steeper rapid and so, the waters will flow faster and this in turn means that the whole rafting experience will become more exhilarating.

Hydraulic

Hydraulic is any area where there is super turbulence in the water and which will be strong enough to easily suck your raft into it.

I have been surprised over the past couple of years to hear how popular Costa Rica is. Even to the point of people from from homeland moving there!
